Long Runs for the next 12 weeks leading up to Mara day on the 13th October, building mileage every week with 1 long run on the Saturday (one exception Sunday 28th July).
All runs start at 8am from Britannia Pub, Marlow.
All runs will be mainly on roads around Marlow, so road shoes, with some subtle off road sections where needed - and to get away from cars. 
Despite Budapest being flat, there will be some hills in some of the routes!
Inclusive for all - aim is to bag the mileage NOT race the distance! 
Plenty of stopping and regrouping along the way!

- Sat 20th July - 10 miles: 1 hill - road shoes needed. 8am start from Britannia Pub.
- Sun 28th July - 11 miles
- Sat 3rd Aug - 12 miles
- Sat 10th Aug - 13 miles
- Sat 17th Aug - 14 miles
- Sat 24th Aug - 15 miles (will need a leader as I’m away)
- Sat 31st Aug - 16 miles (this will incorporate Higgy Parkrun)
- Sat 7th Sept - 18 miles
- Sat 14th Sept - 20 miles
- Sat 21st Sept - 22 miles 
- Sat 28th Sept - 13 miles
- Sat 5th Oct - 5 miles

And… Sun 13th Oct - 26.2 miles!!

This is not a public event, this is for members of Striders only. The tour is around 1hr 30 mins.

We plan to run from 6.30pm, and then start the tour of the vineyard for 7:30pm.. this should hopefully be a wonderful evening for us all.

• 24th August - Bushy Park followed by a picnic in the park! 

• 31st August - Dunstable Downs parkrun Plus with Timea (pre Strider party). Meet at 7.30am at the View Cafe at the visitor centre for a 10km route before parkrun. The route runs alongside the perimeter offering lovely views. Aim to finish the run before parkrun at a chatty pace. Car park post code LU6 2GY. Coffee together after parkrun.

 

Datchet Dashers Relays

- Teams of 2 run alternating 1km laps 5 times, for a combined distance of 10km

Trial run for the club of the revised Frankenstein route in preparation for Sunday, November 3rd.

We'd like as many club members as possible to help us ensure the safety and suitability of the new 10km multi-terrain Frankenstein route.

We have four groups organised (details below) that will leave Higginson Park at slightly different times with the intent of everyone being back in time (10:30) for brunch at Cotes, for those who would like it.

Please sign up for both your favoured group and separately for brunch, as well need to reserve space at Cotes.

Club Event: Burnham Beeches Half Marathon & 10K
- Both races will count towards the club championship. Entries available here

In lieu of the Christmas Party last year, as promised we have arranged a summer celebration which we hope lots of you will be able to attend.

It will be held at Marlow Rowing Club so fingers crossed for drinks in the sunshine out on the balcony followed be paella provided by the Valencia Supper Club and then Dave The Disco playing all your favourite dance floor bangers!! 

Please transfer your £10 to the Marlow Striders bank account with your name and ‘Party’ in the reference so that we can distinguish from the Summer 5k payments! 

Included in the ticket price of £10 is a welcome drink and food. If you could also click the sign up button within the training section of the website that would be helpful to allow us to keep an eye on numbers. We are limited to 100.
